Standing in the Corner
I was only a tiny bit naughty,
But teacher said I must pay,
By Standing alone in the corner.
While facing the other way.
She thinks I was misbehabing,
Today when I was at school,
So I better tell you what I did.
I know you'll think teacher was cruel.
First I wouldn't stop talking to Johnny,
Then I pulled the new girl's hair,
I ate my cookie at story time,
And hid Lucy's "show and tell "bear.
So that's why I stood in the corner,
With nothing to do at all,
I think its an aweful waste of time,
With my face towards the wall.
Did you ever stand in the corner,
Where there's nothing at all to see,
If teacher had given me a story book,
I'd have been happy as happy could be.
